COMPANY HISTORY

 

Water Bonnet was founded in 1954. For over 50 years, we have provided quality products to the Marine Industry. Originally we manufactured boat tops, thus the name Water Bonnet. Later we added boat windshields, then windows. In 1980 we began manufacturing windows for off-road vehicle manufacturers under the trade name Transwind, which then expanded to large on-road transportation vehicles.

 

Our Corporate Office is located in Bradenton, Florida, about 35 miles south of Tampa.

 

We manufacture marine and transportation windows in our modern 72,000 square foot facility in Springfield, Tennessee, about 25 miles north of Nashville.

 

To focus our efforts on our windshields and windows in 2002 we discontinued manufacturing boat tops and canvas items.
